Afilog and LCBI partner to assess the carbon footprint
in logistics real estate

Measuring the carbon footprint of warehouses throughout their vision cycle is a workhorse of Afilog, which announced in early October the development of an ad hoc indicator, a testing phase of which was launched in the wake with 22 of its 130 members, on buildings in 4 European countries. The association of industrial and logistics real estate actors will further deepen the subject by combining its skills with those brought together under the LCBI (Low Carbon Building Initiative) banner, launched in 2022 under the impetus of the Association for the Development of Low Carbon Building (BBCA) and major real estate players with a more diverse spectrum.Several logistics players who are members of Afilog have joined this initiative to develop an LCBI label dedicated to logistics, including Lidl, the GSE and AEW groups, and Virtuo Industrial Property.
