March 2025 – How can LCBI principles help reduce the whole life-cycle carbon footprint of buildings, starting from the design phase?
A recent webinar hosted by One Click LCA explored this question through a real-world case study with BPI Real Estate and Energie et Environnement S.A. The session shows how the LCBI label can support developers and engineers in achieving measurable carbon reductions from the earliest stages of a project.
With the EU pushing for carbon removals and whole life-cycle approaches gaining ground, the LCBI offers a science-based, voluntary framework to guide real estate stakeholders in their decarbonization journey ?
The recording is now available to watch on demand, offering an opportunity to explore concrete solutions for low-carbon construction.

June 2024 – Committing European real estate to decarbonization with LCBI and One Click LCA
Watch this replay of a discussion between Clara Jimenez, from One Click LCA, Cecile Dap, Director of the Low-Carbon Building Initiative (LCBI), and Kevin Thizy from Artelia (head of LCBI Technical Committee) to learn how implementing methodology for the first pan-European low carbon label (LCBI) measuring the carbon footprint of real estate based on a Life-Cycle Analysis is advancing the decarbonization of European real estate.
This session details the recently introduced pan-European methodology and certification scheme for assessing the entire life-cycle carbon footprint of buildings – LCBI — an innovative approach aiming to harmonize life cycle analysis for real estate in Europe, facilitating asset benchmarking and low carbon investment.
March 2024 – Cécile Dap, LCBI Director & Laurent Lavergne, AXA IM Global Head of Sustainability
The Low Carbon Building Initiative was launched at Mipim in 2022 to provide a clear, unified framework for understanding the carbon footprint of different real estate assets. How far has this certification scheme come since its creation?
The initiative was driven by a number of pan-European investors, including AXA-IM. How has this individual awareness been organized to bring investors together?Explanations by Cécile Dap, LCBI Director and Laurent Lavergne, AXA IM Global Head of Sustainability on Business Immo set, at the MIPIM 2024.

March 1st 2024, Webinar on LCBI methodology and certification scheme
On March 1st, 2024, LCBI team presented the LCBI V1.0 standard for new buildings and the associated certification scheme. The result of two years’ work, LCBI is the first pan-European method for measuring the carbon footprint over the life cycle of buildings, incorporating thresholds and aiming to halve the sector’s carbon footprint. This webinar was hosted by :
-
-
- BBCA, coordinator of this European project
- Artelia and Elioth, by Egis, co-pilots of the LCBI Technical Commission
- Bureau Veritas, first European certifier for LCBI
